Information on GRASPH
The Danish Graduate School in Public Health is a co-operation between 13 institutions, that comprises University of Copenhagen, University of Southern Denmark, University of Aarhus, government research institutes, hospital research units, and private research organizations. The graduate school is organizationally anchored in Institute of Public Health, University of Copenhagen.The purpose of the graduate school is to offer a national PhD education within the public health sciences. The graduate school shall assure a high level of post graduate education through course activity, seminars and association of internationally recognized guest professors. A number of co-financed PhD scholarships will be handed out in 2006, 2007, and 2008. The graduate school will also work for a strengthening of the network formation between its PhD members.
The graduate school received in July 2005 a 5-year grant of 10,92 mill. DKK from the Danish Research Agency to be used in the time period 2006-2010. 4,42 mill. DKK will be used for increasing the quality of the education, while 6,5 mill. DKK will be used for co-financed scholarships. In addition, more of the members contribute with co-financing.
